Saying Goodbye To The What Tha? Band

Hey guys, after much thought and prayer I have decided to leave The What Tha? Band. This was not an easy decision for me. I love all the guys so much! I know we will always be brothers and I'm so thankful for that. I think we had an incredible run and I will always cherish those memories. The guys are all awesome musicians and I am blessed to have shared the stage with them.
Blessings, Tim

Ticket Info For Celtica's Concert / New CD Release Party!

As of February 17th, the recording of 'Celtic Fire' was officially complete... mixed, mastered and ready to send off for duplication! Two years in the making, the new Celtica CD shows a distinctively different side of the band from the first CD, 'Labyrinth Walk'. 'Labyrinth Walk' was a contemplative excursion into the softer side of traditional Irish music recorded by Celtica's core duo of Tammera Lane and Tim Dooley, including Clancy Clements on whistles and bagpipes. 'Celtic Fire' is decidedly more upbeat, with Tammera on hammered dulcimer, piano/keys and field organ, Tim on guitars, bouzouki, mandolin and bodhran, nicely spiced with the incendiary fiddle of Carolyn Dutton, plus the traditional flavors of bagpipe and whistles by Clancy Clements, with hurdy gurdy and various percussion elements by Tom Lozano. The CD was produced and engineered by Jeff Foster (who also played guitar, bass and drums) and recorded at Jeff's StringDancer Recording Studio in Brown County, Indiana. We're all proud of the finished product, and eager to share it with our fans. Mark your calendars for our combination St. Patrick's Day celebration / CD Release Party coming up on Friday, March 17 in the Town Hall banquet room of the Brown County Inn. Tickets are $10.00. Seating is limited. This concert will feature all six members of Celtica! Come join us for an awesome night of live Celtic music!

Reunited With My Band Brothers From "The What Tha? Band"

We had an awesome time playing our first gig together in almost 20 years! I think in many ways we are better now than when we were in the past! There were many WOW moments for me during our performance! Our dedication of "The Dance" for our sound person the late Debbie Myers was particularly moving. So blessed to be back with my band brothers, doing what we were created to do! Rock on!! Love, Tim Dooley

New Pedal Board Fun!

I've been busy in the old garage playing around with my new pedal board. I think I am pretty happy with this set up! This about covers it all as far as Rock and Blues go.

New Celtica CD!

I am really enjoying being in the studio recording Celtica's new CD! It's going to be a high energy Celtic romp through some of our most popular tunes with all band members on board for this project! We should have all the tracking done by July and ready for mixing.

Celtica's last CD was the softer more meditative side of Celtica.
This CD will be all high energy Celtic tunes with Celtica's signature progressive sound and arrangements.
This is the first Celtica CD that will include the WHOLE band.
Carolyn Dutton - fiddle, Tom Lozano - hurdy gurdy and percussion, Tim Dooley-guitar, mandolin, Irish bouzouki, bodhran,
Tammera Lane - hammered dulcimer, bowed psaltery, piano and synths, field organ, Jeff Foster - guitar and bass,
Clancy Clements - bagpipes, penny whistles, guitar, percussion.
We hope to have this CD released this summer!
Our next project will be a full blown Celtica Christmas CD!
Stay tuned!

Lots of shows coming up!

Wow! Its been a wild ride this year. It has been a bit of a challenge shuffling my show dates around to accommodate the different musical projects I've got going on but I consider it a good problem to have! Feeling really blessed to be working with awesome musicians that make my job a real pleasure. I hope to see you all at a show soon! Get signed up on my mailing list to stay up to date with my concert schedule. Peace out!

Loud Guitars = Happiness

I cant describe the joy I get from slammin a BIG power chord on my Les Paul in the middle of a crowded room! Its one of those things I live for. I am currently researching some different distortion pedals and overdrives to add to my board. I am very impressed with Fulltone's OCD overdrive. Maybe an all out fuzz pedal as well! Ahh...the quest for tone never ends.
